About me

Fuji Mountain, Japan
I am Jaime Villafuerte. I have the privilege of supporting lean transformation efforts in outstanding organizations  and the pleasure to teach lean thinking and deployment to thousands of people in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. While doing it, I met smart, encouraging and fascinating people from which I learned and continue learning.

As Lean Six Sigma Director at Jabil, Inc., I lead the learning and development strategy reaching more than 165,000 employees in 17 countries. A great learning and challenge.

I had the privilege to work for Stanley Black & Decker as Operations Lean Manager responsible for Lean and Six Sigma deployment in four facilities in the United States, France, Israel and the United Kingdom. Prior that, I worked in the Banco de Credito del Peru (BCP) managing improvement projects.

While reflecting on my experiences, I wrote the "Lean Six Sigma Deployment Memory Jogger®" and co-wrote a second book "Creating a Kaizen Culture" with Jon Miller and Mike Wroblewski.

My desire for learning, took me to participate in several ASQ, AME and IIE conferences as a presenter and to serve as a Baldrige National Award Examiner in 2010.

My formal education includes a BS in industrial engineering, a master from University of Florida, and a second one (on progress) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT.) I am an ASQ Certified Master Black Belt (CSSMBB), CQE and Lean Gold Certified by SME, AME and Shingo Prize.

Finally, we can speak in Spanish or Portuguese if English is not for you.
